Sorry for creating a new thread I did as a similar question but details have changed and I thought best to start a new thread so the question is clear rather than trying to ammed the existing thread.
I have found the car I want in desired spec however it is 350 miles from me. The company is premier automotives Kia/ltd operates in Manchester area of England. They have no branches in Scotland however offer nationwide delivery so getting the car is not an issue.
The car will come with 7 years Kia warranty. I assume if I need to make any claim under warranty I can contact any Kia dealership directly to arrange repair/inspection that I wouldn't need to go via premier, is that correct?
What if a fault develops that is not covered by warranty, would I then have to go back via premier?
I basically want to make sure I'm not going to be in a situation where I need to make the 700 mile round trip to get the car inspected/repaired.
Now I think the dealer is an approved Kia dealer as I actually found the car via the "search used cars" section on Kia's own website
Is there anything else I should be aware of or ask in relation to this prior to purchase? I know some will say its not ideal buying a car online without viewing however the journey is just not possible.

If you are certain this is the car you want and it meets your spec and you are happy with the price and you found it on Kia's site, then you could go to the local Kia dealer, tell them you are interested in a used Ceed and saw that one on the Kia website. They may have the ability to transfer within the Kia network. They may not, but what can you lose by asking?
I assume you did not get the one from AC.
What happened to the idea of brand new?
Good luck whatever you do.4 -

If its these people then Yes they are Kia main dealers
Premier Kia Manchester, Birch Ln, Dukinfield SK16 5AP
I bought a used Kia Ceed from them this year with a balance of the 7 years warranty and they assured me that as its a 'Kia' warranty, I can take it to the Lookers Kia dealers closer to me with any issues. I haven't tested it and I hope I dont need to, but that's what I was told.
hope this helps

I tried a few different brokers but none of them got back to me - shocking! I got a message off one but when replied they didn't. Another did phone me we exchanged a few emails but then he said needed to go find what deals he could get and never got back that was carbrokers4u or something. If you are certain this is the car you want and it meets your spec and you are happy with the price and you found it on Kia's site, then you could go to the local Kia dealer, tell them you are interested in a used Ceed and saw that one on the Kia website. Correct. The manufacturer's warranty applies to any dealer.little_green said:

Correct. Your statutory consumer rights are against the vendor.I know some will say its not ideal buying a car online without viewing however the journey is just not possible.
It's eminently possible.
Jump in a car or on a train now, you can stay overnight in or near Manchester, view the car tomorrow morning, and be home by tomorrow evening.
It's just not terribly convenient for you. There's a world of difference.
But that's fine. You are free to choose whether you want to take the added risk of a totally remote purchase (with a small amount of added consumer rights due to it being a distance sale), whether the inconvenience of going to view the car outweighs the hassle of trying to return the car if you find out it's not what you thought once it's delivered.

After a search on the manufacturer's website I found the ideal car on sale in Croydon, London - 610 miles away.
So I took the overnight bus from Aberdeen to London and the tube to Croydon - did the deal and drove home to Aberdeenshire.
I had a couple of warranty issues during the time I had it and both were dealt with by my local dealership - not a problem.0
