Santander switch - Is it only for current account transfer or can we use for joint account?

Hi,
I have a current account with First direct, who I am very happy with. My wife and I have a joint account with intelligent finance. The joint account is basic with no phone app & provision NFC chip on the debit card, which is a pain. So we're thinking of moving it. I would like to move it one of the banks offering switch bonus i.e. Santamder. However as this account is neither of our primary current accounts can we get a switching bonus? We both pay in monthly 1500 and have many direct debits set up (ie utilities, council tax, etc) so it looks like we meet the criteria. The MSE news letter suggests it can be for joint accounts also. I guess it boils down to whether it has to be a transfer of a current account or not. Can anyone help answer this please? Many Thanks.

You're better off both opening sole Santander accounts and each doing a sole switch as that way you can both qualify for the switching incentive (ie. 2 x £130). Otherwise yes, you can switch into a joint Santander account to get the incentive, but it will only be paid once (ie. 1 x £130). As long as you do a CASS switch and meet all the other offer terms you will qualify.
Terms of the offer and a lengthy discussion can be found here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6296624/santander-130-switch-offer/p11 -
Is that a long winded version of 'can I switch a joint current ac' to Santander and qualify?

I don’t think Intelligent Finance is not a member of CASS anyway so you can’t use the service
