Smart Meter using electricity

To be fair, I'm not too worried about the KWh price as I don't use much but agree that it is far too expensive. Standing charge has always been a pain so I'm looking at someone's suggestion to get a solar panel fitted and cancel it altogether.AdrianC said:30p/kWh...?!? That's ridiculous.0 -
Are you reading the Smart correctly ? Watch out for the decimal point . Your reading might be 0000 (decimal) 6Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Apologies, my mistake ref the KWh charge - it's 16.390. The daily charge is 28.30

That's more like it.scoittishmovies said:Apologies, my mistake ref the KWh charge - it's 16.390. The daily charge is 28.3
So in four years you've used 17p of electricity, but paid £413 in standing charge.1 -
the actual meter only has 5 digits and is 00006. On the remote device it shows up 3 decimal places 00006.348Robin9 said:Are you reading the Smart correctly ? Watch out for the decimal point . Your reading might be 0000 (decimal) 60 -
yes about that, although the daily charge was a bit less until a 3 year deal finished. £9 per month for the privilege!AdrianC said:

You did mention a burglar alarm - that's there probably as a deterrent , possibly with a discount (or a condition) for your insurance.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
