Bus Lane Penalty Charge Notice

Help from all you knowledgable folk again!!

My other half has received a Bus Lane Penalty 34J (being in a bus lane during hours of operation). Notification came from the council

Following PCN stipulations on what information they are required to note (aware that parking and bus lane tickets differ but presume they need similar set information)- all is OK aside from they do not detail on the letter the times the bus lane operates….

He knows the hours of operation are from 7.30;  his clock was 7.29 and seeing he only travelled about 50 yards thought he would be OK…  Obviously not!

Photographic evidence shows the time was 7.30:36. So 36 seconds in the ‘operating hours’.

My question (and appeal) would be there must be a certain level of leeway for surely not all car clocks are bang on there timings?

(I have looked into how they are calibrated and how often they are checked to a centralised system….) Granted I wouldn’t expect a 4/5 minute leeway but I feel that 36 seconds is absolutely ridiculous and wondered if anyone has submitted an appeal for such a short time frame?

Since we specialise in private parking charges from unregulated parking companies here on MSE, you would be better taking this over to our friends on pepipoo.com as they are the police and council motoring experts.

You will need to register there with a non-hotmail email address, read the FAQs,  then post both sides of your redacted charge with your query.
