Unable to switch to new supplier

As my fixed deal ends in around 4 weeks time, I'm trying to switch to the current best deal.
However the supplier (Sainsbury's / E.ON) says 'Sorry you don't have a gas meter' when I try to select dual fuel. Some price comparison sites do the same.
It effectively means I'm unable to switch my Gas.
I've lived at the same house for 20 years & always had a gas meter. I've never had this problem switching before.
Has anyone else had a similar experience or know what causes this ?
