Help with flights to venice

Hi all.
I wonder if anyone in the know can help.
My mother has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and I wanted to treat her to a trip to Venice before it set's in too much.
I booked with Easy jet for the 9th October for 7 days flying out from Manchester and everything was fine up until a month ago when they cancelled the flights without any reason.
I then looked around and found out that Ryanair was flying on the same day and so I booked with them and the other day they have decided to cancel on me without a reason.
I've spoken to the hotel and explained things to them and they said they would try and accommodate the best they can, but can anyone out there tell me if there are any flights leaving from the UK on either the 9th, 10th or 11th of October which is not a ludicrous price (KLM wanted over £200.00 per person for a 9-hour flight!!!)
I personally don't want to go through the hassle of having to fly from London, as I'm based in Yorkshire and I don't think my mum would be able to handle all of the hassles of travelling through the city to get to the airport.
Any help would be apreciated

I think your only options are ex LBA or MAN on KLM via Amsterdam.

Sounds like you may have benefited from low low fares.  I don’t think £200 per person return via AMS is that bad.
  • You could try looking at Bologna or Verona.

Check Lufthansa website for MAN-VCE, it's currently showing early morning flights via Frankfurt or Brussels (on SN, 4hr) at decent prices for those dates, cheapest Monday 11th..

Looks to be Ryanair flights to Venice (Treviso) out of East Midlands on the 11th for 7 nights. Currently £41 return each.
  • When I went to Venice, I found it cheaper/more convenient to fly into Verona and then get the train. Could be a possibility.
