I was completely shocked and speechless.neilmcl said:What did you say to him at the time. As mentioned the damage looks obvious and substantial, surely you noticed it when he finished and shown you his work?I just wanted him gone.0 -
That’s not good enough!UK007BullDog said:
He only gave me whaffle and excuses and sent me this link fir me to repair it myself because I am good at art. 🤦travis-powers said:Personally I think before you pay him anything you need to talk to him and ask what is he going to do to address the damage he has caused, it’s quite substantial!
we all make mistakes (how he done that much damage is beyond me) but you have to put them right at your own cost.
I would keep enough money back to put right what he has done!Maybe, just once, someone will call me 'Sir' without adding, 'You're making a scene.'0 -
The very fact he has give you that link, unless he is some sort of sociopath, he must know he has done wrong.
I also would just personally want to be shot of him.
I would put in writing to him how much you are holding back based on the damage he has caused, and include photographs so everything is laid out as clear as it can be. If he expects to be paid in full, he is just trying it on imo.1 -
He also sent me pictures of items that still need to be replaced under the tap. My son said I should just send him his bill. And the repair bill. He would owe me money.Farside71 said:The very fact he has give you that link, unless he is some sort of sociopath, he must know he has done wrong.

He can have his cheap tap back so that’s another £50 off. So he will get £150.0 -
Don't pay him anything until the repair on the bath is done.1
