I have hired on in the past.
Depending on season, it was £150/day  in June  - there was excess to pay for European cover and CDW insurance. That was 6 years ago. If there are festivals on the price increases.

I rolled out the sunshade and the handle dropped and dented the van - 5mm long by 1mm deep - that cost £30 although they normally never fix it.

    Also there was £1500 deposit.

The Aircon didn't work, as well as the reversing camera.

    They are noisy and rattle.

You need to get used to the toilet emptying as well( used to it as I am had a caravan at the time) , as if you leave it full (some people do!!!) it there's a hefty charge as well.

Just checked the local dealer and they are quoting £1300/week currently
  •  A minority of renters are giving Motorhomers a very bad rep on Scotland's NC500.  Reports of chemical toilets being emptied on a war memorial a mile away from a chemical waste point and very poor driving standards, and poor road etiquette.

The poor driving standards is a given - almost no-one renting a motorhome has any experience of driving something motorhome sized.

About £1000 a week, £200 in fuel, £1000 excess, £82 for a CDW policy......just rented one in Scotland.

Nor do they have experience of driving on single track roads.

Our local garage on the NC500 kept a stock of wing mirrors as they kept getting damaged because the drivers had no idea of the width of their vehicles.
