It may be that a will was made after marriage, and the op just doesn't know about it so believes this is the only one (the unsigned one).Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -

OP needs to take legal advice, I saw this sort of file all the time when I worked as a legal Secretary.

A will has to be in writing and signed before witnesses to be valid.
depending on who the beneficiaries under the proposed will were, and whether she had children or a partner, it's possible that there might be someone who would be entitled to make a claim under the inheritance act but other than that, it sounds as though he will inherit.
