Hi
I am looking to buy a new laptop. I will not be using it for gaming or to watch movies. It will be used mostly for internet searches, e mails and creating Word documents. I will want to watch the odd football match through Sky Go I am looking for a decent screen size. I will also be wanting to store photos/ short Whats App videos of children, grandchildren etc. I have Windows 10 on my PC at home so will find it easier to have that also on the laptop.
I have about £300 to spend and am wondering if anyone can recommend a decent laptop for that price. I could run to about £350 if that gets me a better spec machine.
Thanks

Not a recommendation, but a minimum starting point for discussion: https://www.stockmustgo.co.uk/collections/laptops/products/hp-14s-dq1508sa-14-laptop-intel-core-i3-256gb-ssd-4gb-ram-silver-1e0r1ea
Personally, I like: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/363362622977 but somewhat above your budget.
DELL Outlet have a few, but bulk standard IMO:

Though bear in mind that I am picky.1 -
Thanks very much for your suggestions. Is it best to go for an Intel Core processor or will any processor be ok for what I am using the laptop for?0

Hi. The Asus F415 seems to meet my needs although I wonder if the 4gb RAM is sufficient. Should I wait for Black Friday deals on laptops or is it only the high-end laptops heavily discounted during Amazon's Black Friday promotion?

I see this laptop on offer for £429. My budget will allow me to go this high. Is this a decent laptop top meet my needs?

I have no idea about the reliability under sharp.
I pick it due to good spec for the price tag.1
