Post Office Savings account - DD setup to multiple CAs?

I need to find my login details for my PO savings account, but could someone  remind me if it is possible to setup direct debits to pull from more than one current account?

  • No, this is not possible. However, you can open a second saver account and link this to a different current account.
  • You can pull a dd from po on several days but must be from one account. For example, I pull 4 dds from one post office account to meet the coop requirements.
  • No

Each PO account has a single linked account facility but can pull multiple DDs per month from that single linked account

If need to pull from multiple accounts you will need multiple PO accounts
  • As above - one PO saver can only be linked to 1 current account.

I presume this is for a switching incentive? In which case you'll need multiple PO savers to generate multiple DD mandates (which is generally what banks refer to when saying you need XX number of DDs. Outside of that, if all you need is DD payments then one PO saver can be sufficient - I know a PO saver pulling weekly satisfies the requirements for Co-Op (as mentioned above) and NatWest/RBS rewards.

  • Thanks for the replies everyone.

Yes, PRAISETHESUN sure is for DD purposes.

What about Paypal - same as PO account as only regarded as one DD originator?

  • Open a new PO online saver. Issue 51 was the most recent one I opened. Then set up your DD`s from your chosen current account to this new account.
