Interactive Investor sold some of my shares without my consent

If they had charged 3 months' platform fees by May, it's now 4 months later, so, even with 6 months' fees refunded, you would owe 1 month's fees, ie £9.99 (and others say online they were migrated around the start of February, which fits with that).
However, you said you wouldn't be paying the fees - which implies you were going to close the account. Did you do anything between May and August to close it, and avoid the charge for the 7th month?0 -
Taken this to the ombudsman and ii have finally accepted to pay me the compensation I demanded.

Hi,so you got the fees back? What about the sold shares?0

The fees should have been paid back as part of a "Price Promise" they created for ex-Share Centre customers but they conjured up a clause that I wasn't eligible (even though they had led me to believe all along that I was eligible).
Not too bothered about the shares as they haven't gone up in price but ii behaved like a bunch of cowboys and I was more than willing to take them to court if needs be.

I am somewhat envious of the the time people have available to them. I'm not sure I could get motivated enough to take a company to court over £100 in shares (especially if, by my own observation, they hadn't even gone up in price. If anything they've probably done the OP a favour selling them when they did).spiritus said:I was more than willing to take them to court if needs be.
