I'm really shocked about that, i honestly thought that it would have continued due to her health conditions limiting her ability to study.

Claiming UC for her won't be straight forward either because she has parental support. I'm not sure whether she could apply with a fit note from her GP on the basis that she's waiting for a work capability assessment, although i suspect not because when she claims she will not necessarily be waiting for the work capability assessment. Others may know for sure.https://www.gov.uk/universal-credit/eligibility

Claiming New style ESA as a credits only claim while the work capability assessment takes place maybe the way to go.

But as she dropped down from 3 A-levels to 2 because of her health, I might be inclined to challenge this decision.

What is her intention after completing the 2 A-levels?

Are the college aware of the TC decision  with the college - have they any suggestions - can she be assigned more hours because of her health?

Yes, I can see that might be an issue.  However, if you did decide to challenge it through an mandatory reconsideration / appeal - would she need to know that?

    https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/help-if-on-a-low-income/working-and-child-tax-credits/tax-credits-appeals/challenging-a-working-tax-credit-or-child-tax-credit-decision/

I mention this option as I have seen cases where a MR on health grounds have been successful. Did TC have full information when they made their decision (including CAMHS / college input)?

If you do decide to challenge that TC decision makers opinion, then see if your local advice charity can help, and involve your MP.

It’s the 12 hours it’s black and white, unless we say get her to go to assessment for confirmation in writing which isn’t anything of consider at the mo

10.5 hours she does so there’s nothing they can do as there isn’t a consideration to get her back to higher hours

that isn’t possible college said once we go down to two A levels can’t go back to 3

What we're saying is that the reason the hours have been reduced is because of her health condition so HMRC should have taken that into consideration before stopping your tax credits.

Spammer post building.  Shame the report option doesn't have the option to add an explanation any more if it doesn't fall nearly into the categories they give.
