Local pub and restaurant has gone over to the dark side.

A local pub and restaurant has gone over to the dark side and contracted a parking company to manage the car park. It is ANPR controlled.
I can understand why the car park needed to be monitored but there must be a better way. The car park has been used by walkers who are not customers. It would have been a better idea to manage the car park themselves as a paid car park and refunded patrons. That way they would have had some income during lockdown. There has already been some tickets issued to patrons and some will not use the terminals without hand gel. They will get a PCN and that will be an interesting one if it ever appears on here.
I went to a private members club the other day and the car park was entered by a fob. There was an annual charge for the fob and this was refundable against the bar tab. Businesses can be creative if they need to be.

Pubs are not understanding the danger they put themselves in. Word and mouth alone will dictate the future of the pub. Understand about the walkers but many will go into the pub.
The landlord will have signed up to an expensive "get out" contract, what a fool ??3 -
The problem is the pub can end up doing its own legs! People will come in, get cosy then decide to have more drinks and get a cab home only to find a nasty surprise in the post after getting clocked on ANPR when retrieving their car the next day. After that people might just swerve the pub.3

Here's a salutary tale. Maybe post the link to the landlord. Perhaps he can opt out before a similar fate erupts!

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Name and shame the pub if it's doing wrong by it's customers otherwise there is no complaint here.1

A friend of mine got a ticket which is being cancelled however I doubt that the PPC will wear cancelling these PCN's for very long. Once the honeymoon period is over it will be like the scenario at Mold.
Surely though these pubs could come up with their own solutions rather than bring in the PPC's?
Many people are not happy with using terminals now either as they can spread infection so they are having to ensure that there is hand gel by the terminal.

The one thing that stops people going to a pub is bad food and parking vermin.
The landlord is about to give his business away to his competitors ?
He should be shown the link above as that is the reality

In these days of social media, pubs annoy customers at their peril. Adverse comments on Facebook or TripAdviser can cause them £££s.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.5
