G24 Final Notice - Homebase

Options
Hi there,

The penalty is for parking nearly an hour over the allowed 90 minutes.

I recently moved out of my dads house so missed the initial letter and didn’t see this new one for a few days as I went to collect some post. The initial letter was apparently issued just over a month ago (which my dad says he did not receive so I have no copy of that) and now I have received a “final notice” bumping the charge up from £60 to £100.

The letter says I have missed the opportunity to appeal so I am slightly confused on the next step to take. I have seen people on here saying to try to contact someone managerial at the store so will do that immediately if still recommended.

As far as doing the appeal it mentions the IAS on the back of the letter but I assume at the moment I can’t do that because of the missed appeals period?

Cheers

If you missed the appeal you just ignore it because you certainly MUST NOT use the non standard late IAS appeal ‘option’ where you appeal and pay £15 to a known kangaroo court, in order to lose!  NO!

Get Homebase to cancel it if you were using their store.  Easy.  But all this is already explained in the Newbies thread at the top of this forum.

    You certainly don’t pay!

You must however update G24 with your new address if your Dad moves within 6 years and personally I’d be putting that address right now.  Certainly you need to tell the DVLA the right address if you are the keeper and you need to tell your car insurer (as well as G24 to make sure you see all future tedious debt demands).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
