Wired Mouse

My wired mouse that is plugged into my laptop has suddenly started about from side to side a little and often jumps to the top of the page and even second screen - How can I fix this?

    Bit of cheese ;)

Seriously though, turn it upside down and give it a good blow.  Also ensure its not inadvertently straying onto reflective surfaces.

    Hi,

I have opened it up and it is very clean inside - no fluf, hair etc.
I have also done a full virus check which had no threats.

    Try another mouse
I don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!
  • As it is a laptop, eliminate any issues with the trackpad (and pointing stick if fitted) which will also be active when you have the mouse plugged in.
