My wired mouse that is plugged into my laptop has suddenly started about from side to side a little and often jumps to the top of the page and even second screen - How can I fix this?

Seriously though, turn it upside down and give it a good blow. Also ensure its not inadvertently straying onto reflective surfaces.0 -

As it is a laptop, eliminate any issues with the trackpad (and pointing stick if fitted) which will also be active when you have the mouse plugged in.
