Credit Karma failings

I recently applied for a loan and the body uses Credit Karma reports as a means of assessment. Credit Karma states it gets all its information from Transunion.
However the information on my Credit Karma report does not reflect what is on Transunion and Credit Karma have not/ are not making changes. I have contacted Credit Karma by email on numerous occasions and they have still not amended to reflect the Transunion account!
Does anyone know of any route to contact Credit Karma by phone or escalate management ?

  • I very much doubt they're getting their data from Credit Karma.  Credit Karma exists purely to give end-users access to their own reports.

    Who is the lender?
  • Have you followed their complaints procedure?
If so, then it's the ICO you have to contact next.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

It's always possible they do it that way if they ask OP to provide the report. However a company operating that way would obviously be one to avoid ;-)

Have you tried sending them a copy of your TransUnion report?

Well, they won't be using Credit Karma, they will be pulling data from Transunion.

I'm not sure what the problem is. Have you been knocked back?
  • You're not alone! Credit Karma also started showing incorrect information on my credit report recently while the TransUnion statutory credit report is accurate.

It's disappointing that they've not even tried to resolve the issue - they've fobbed me off to TransUnion multiple times - after having used them for so long without any issues.

I've made a formal complaint to them and I intend to escalate to Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) if they do not resolve the issue.
