Morning all; dull outside and it's now raining so have had to close the patio doors.
Got back from Swanage in record time yesterday; 3hrs 45mins including coming over on the chain ferry and one loo stop at Chieveley. We had a super weekend with glorious weather. Had a very full programme on the Saturday so only had time to grab a flapjack and carton of apple juice for lunch. Luckily we had an early meal booked at the pub and then I spent a couple of hours in an outside music session before watching the last bit of Emma R winning the US Open. Sunday was quieter and started with us dancing outside the church, after morning service, and then moving down into town for three other dance spots followed by our traditional ice cream workshop! It was pear and cardamon for me this time but didn't find it as nice as it sounded.
Was rather tired the remainder of yesterday so didn't do much. Today I have washing in the machine and will go food shopping. Am meant to be playing out with another Morris side at a pub this evening so will need to leave early for that.
Hope everyone has been behaving themselves in my absence Have a Terrific Tuesday. Have a Terrific Tuesday.
PS Not sure if I'm allowed to post this as a link but it's from 3 years ago. I'm the one in the middle, crouching between the two accordion players. Whitethorn Morris11

Morning, hugs if you need one.
Its raining!!! the much longed for rain has arrived, and its steady not a huge downpour as they have had in some places. It will take several
I took the bags to one of the charity shops, they refused them.....I was not happy. I did eventually get them into the Age Concern shop. They would not take the hangers so they are in the dustbin. Still have more books to go. I have made my mind up that I am going to cull clothes each spring and autumn before they are put away. I have a drawer full of T shirts, some of which would make good cleaning rags, the others are fit enough to be passed on.
Had a nice cup of tea with DD2, DGD was also there, on a day off, she has lost a load more weight.......looking very good.
Started packing for our little break next week. We have booked a canal trip from Skipton on Wednesday. We are staying on a farm in Cononley just outside Skipton. We are home for 10 days and then off again for a long weekend in the Cotswolds. Need to start looking to book for a break in the early spring.
I have manages to set my right arm off again, it was very painful last night, ended up taking painkillers. I am going to have to change into PJ's with long sleeves, my arms were cold last night.
Supper tonight is quiche with a jacket spud and some beans, as requested by DB. Will do some rasps in jelly for dessert, it will last us a few days.

            Hi everyone,
I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday Ruby and that you've heard from Marie, hopefully she'll recover quickly. I was just sitting here thinking that my hips have hardly been sore at all for a while, I think it must be the new mattress we got a few months ago relieving the pressure on them when I lie down.
L,B and E are coming back from the Yorkshire house today so I hope they miss the worst of the storms. Esben is cutting the last of his molars and is suffering a bit again, now he's talking at least he can say that it hurts.
I had a wakeful period in the night with a coughing fit and came down to drink a glass of milk until it was better, I obviously disturbed Steve because he's still asleep now. Never mind, we've got nothing pressing to do and it's raining as well. We've got some ys venison meatballs in the freezer so I'll do a tomato sauce and we can have those with pasta for dinner.
We've not heard from Chris and Crystal but I checked their Whatsapp accounts last night because it tells you the last time they have been online which turned out to be last night so I know they're ok, they do a lot of walking when they are away so I like to know they are safe at the end of a day.
 Have a good day.13

            Good morning,
Dry and sunny here which wasn't forecast but I'm not complaining.
I'm going to start planting some bulbs in tubs, I'll have to use different ones than normal as the French marigolds and dahlias I grew this year are not showing any signs of finishing yet. I've been more diligent about deadheading this year and I think that's what's kept them blooming.
We had chicken dinner last night and there's enough left over for another one tonight so that's nice and easy.
I might make a start on swapping my winter and summer clothes and shoes, I have put a lot of summer clothes in a separate pile but I will leave it until next year to see if I miss any of them before sending them to the charity shop. I may put some winter things on the pile as I get them out, at least they will be able to go next Summer if I haven't taken them back out.
Hugs to anyone who wants them x

            morning all,
This morning has ran away from me today. Haven’t accomplished much to show for it however.
I have tried to read through everyone’s posts but my attention span is struggling today due to my fibromyalgia so I will catch up later.
Today I will be meeting up the OT lady at the parents home to discuss mum’s homecoming. She sounds very nice, I spoke with her earlier in the week.
Suddenly got noisy outside with the neighbour’s gardener’s power tools.
 Take care all.

Hello all, I'm back from the dentist and this time I had no money to pay out ! She gave my teeth a bit of a clean but the air thingy still can't be used. My dentist is lovely but was ranting again, this time about the ptb in dentistry, oh how she loves to rant while you're stuck in the chair with your mouth open. Afterwards we went into Te*co again and I bought a few things to be put away for xmas, I only went in for potatoes and bread as I have a sm delivery coming tomorrow. I won't mention that a tub of chocs fell into my trolley too 😉 Mr Fix It was also throwing things in my trolley so I must save myself £s by shopping online where are no distractions or himself involved 🤣Mr Fix It finally got his new phone yesterday but there was a bit of a to do with the driver, who was very nice. He delivered the phone then came back for a one time code which hadn't arrived, so about 20 mins was spent on the doorstep trying to sort it out with Am*zon. It could only happen to us 😕This afternoon I have to sort out and clean my fridge ready for tomorrow's delivery, then put my feet up as I feel physically drained, I may have a nana nap later too.Sunfl0w3r Hello, nice to meet you.I'm happy that all the wanderers have returned from their holidays safe and sound. Csarina I hope you enjoy your break too.Scarlett thanks, I'm hopefully on the road to recovery but it's taking a long time. 🧡Hugs to all the poorly ones, the recuperating and MIA'sTake care allnan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12

I seemed to spend quite some time cooking yesterday, probably because it was raining, so we had beef bourgignon for tea as well.RRuby, glad you had a wonderful time on holiday & good to know Marie had her op thanks. Good photo Wicked Lady.Sorry you didn't get fixed up trouser wise TA. I like the cropped jeans in different colours Ms do but they don't seem to have had them in this year. Good belt advice Scarlet, mind you falling down isn't a problem at the moment, as the waists are feeling raather tight Also made a bread and butter pudding to use up a loaf that was past it's best, it was very nice. SCARLET those elastic belts sound just the job, I will have a look on Ama*on. I've always said I could do with one of those elastic belts with the snake fastening that boys used to wear when we were kids! Thanks for the tip x

I remember my boys having the elastic belts with a snake fastening.
My oven was full last night as I also baked a Victoria sandwich. It will be full tonight as I plan to cook more roasted veggies, potato chunks, cheese & onion pasties and a tray bake.
We have been for lunch and Bible study at the SA - must have tired out Mr F - he was nodding off when Boris was speaking.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
