Sainsburys - Nectar

Mr Pepper and I are thinking of applying for a card to take advantage of the 0% spending - if the card is in Mr Peppers name can I use my Nectar card for earning points, or will he have to apply for a Nectar card in his name before we get the credit card? 

We use one account for the household for most things, so one T3sco, B00ts  card and so on...

I'm not sure if they still do it, but I have what is effectively a second Nectar card on my wife's account. 

It has its own number. I don't do a great deal of shopping, but it was useful for things like buying fuel, where she often wasn't there.

That might be an option for you..

I think what you are asking is whether it is possible "to attach" the Nectar card in your name to the Credit card in Mr Pepper name. I believe the answer is not.

What you can do, however, is to get a Credit card yourself attached to the Nectar account in your name and then add Mr Pepper as an extra card holder (to the credit card account in your name).

Bear in mind Sainsbury's credit cards don't automatically add points just by using your credit card. You get the bonus card points but you won't accrue standard nectar points in Sainsbury's for instance, unless you present your nectar card too. 

Tesco is much easier as Clubcard is saved to credit card so one card is needed to pay and accrue points. Not so with Sainsbury's. 

Thus myself and my wife have our own Sainsbury's credit card and nectar card account.
