CP plus car parking fee

Hi I got a parking fee for parking at Crown Wharf Walsall back in June and have refused to pay it.  In my appeal I did admit to being the driver.  Two machines were out of order and I only went in one shop. I was there for 17 minutes.  2 minutes more than there 15 minute free window.  They have sent another letter today demanding the full £100 and saying that if I do not pay they will will be a debt recovery charge incurred. Can I have any advice on this please.

3 you should have appealed at the time , too late for by appeal now , so plan A

4 ignore the debt collectors

All that nowadays is just a joke and scare tactics.  Expect to get stupid letters from a debt collector who in the parking industry is 100% meaningless, pointless and powerless.

Send a polite complaint to the property management people who run Crown Wharf as they’ve cancelled these before.

Read this wrt out of order PnD machines and complain to yoiur MP.
