Where do I stand on getting a deposit back paid on my Credit Card?

Hi, hoping for some advice, I paid a deposit of £500 for something I wanted to buy about 10 days ago, I paid on my Credit Card.

I got the T&C’s sent to me and they also gave my my 14 days right to terminate if I changed my mind.

I’ve followed those instructions and emailed the address in the T&C’s and never heard anything back (first emailed them 6 days ago). I’ve sent three emails in total, 2 of them to the person who took the order and nothing back.

How do I go about getting my deposit back if they don’t reply and refund me before this Friday?

  • Go to your credit card company.  If it's an online company you can usually open a dispute online and upload any info (in this case  your proof of cancellation within the period).
