I've now received communication from the the County Court to say that this is now a defended claim. I have until 29/11 to complete the N180 form.
It has been suggested that the claim is suitable for the small claims track and it asks whether I am interested in mediation. I propose to answer Yes and Yes.
Not sure if there any help I need at this stage but, please, as always jump in if you have any comment to make. I'll ask for the hearing to be held at a court near to myself.
Thanks0 -
You don't want mediation! It will be an attempt by an "independent" mediator to make you feel guilty and pay!3

Go back to that list you were following when you filed your Defence.Driver2021 said:I've now received communication from the the County Court to say that this is now a defended claim. I have until 29/11 to complete the N180 form.

Item 8 on that list offers guidance on answering every question on your Directions Questionnaire.
In particular, it suggests a definite NO answer to the question about mediation.2 -
Apologies, my schoolboy error. N180 duly completed as suggested.
Thank you.0 -
Hi All
Just a quick update. I have a 'Notice of Allocation to the Small Claims Track (Hearing); notification for April. The court is suggesting that the claim be heard by telephone.
Options are:
1 - On paper
2 - By telephone
3 - Video
4 - Attended Hearing
I need to advise which is my preference. My thinking is 2,3,1 then 4.
Thanks in advance
