Same Day Exchange and Completion - picking up keys

Hi - FTB here, we are exchanging and completing on a no chain property on Tuesday.
Most things I've read and videos I've seen have mentioned That usually you're able to pick up keys approx 1pm - is this the same if exchanging and completing on the same day? What are your experiences and what should we expect?

Doesn't make any difference to timing really.0

Take to your seller's EA to confirm when and how you'll be picking up the keys (e.g. at their office or at the house).
My seller's EA asked if I was ok to wait until 3pm. I said that was fine (I wasn't moving all my stuff that day). Then on the day it was delayed til 4pm. Picked up the keys from their office, got to the house at 4:30 and they still hadn't moved out. Finally got in at 5pm0 -
the picking up of keys tends to be less related to the completion time than to when the vendors have managed to get their stuff out - some take a good bit of time past the legal completion time. Last sim exchange and completion in Feb - we picked up the keys about 2pm (the wrong keys that is LOL ) - frantic agent dashed over with the right keys a bit later1

All depends on when the monies are transferred by the sending bank and confirmed by the receiving bank. Last cut-off for transfers is normally around 1pm. Some days are quiet and some busy for the banks. Once I didn't get the keys until 4.45pm. Another time was 12.15pm. No way of teliing.0

If your no chain purchase is already empty, you might get keys a little earlier, but its the arrival of the money which is the determining factor.0

As others have said, the key release is once the funds have been received by the seller's solicitors and they've confirmed to the agents that it has happened.
Ideally this happens by 1 p.m. but depending on things like the length of any chain, how busy each set of solicitors are (and how many other completions they are doing and what order they are ready to do) it can be earlier or later.
Last time I moved, I got the keys at about 11 a.m. last time my parents moved, they didn't get theirs until late afternoon because the sellers were faffing about and weren't out of the propertyAll posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -
Thanks - property is completely vacant and solicitor has received money from bank (today). We've been up to property for a final viewing today and nothing inside of it that should delay anything so hopefully should be a fairly quick switchover tomorrow morning.0
