Does a small finance loan help protect my consumer rights?

I am thinking about buying a new caravan. Although I can afford to pay for the caravan outright should I get a small loan (£5K) to help protect my consumer rights if something goes wrong/faulty with the caravan?

A loan where you just get given the cash to buy the product would provide you with no S75. You'd need to take finance out on the caravan itself, but they're perhaps unlikely to give you a small amount of finance.
Paying a small amount on a credit card would work though.1 -

Providing the caravan doesn't cost over £30,000
