Plasterer finished already - strewth! Mrs E says they've done a good job, but I'd assumed a whole day job based on the price. Hey ho, I hired based on glowing feedback, not cheapness
Got my free £50, spent most of it
First builder showed up. Seemed credible, but they're all very tax avoidy...5 -
But some renovations are not VATable I believe, so maybe they want to keep the 2 parts as separate issues.

Ok, so I'm definitely going to food hell for yesterday
Breakfast was rolls from a local greasy spoon, lunch chicken from a well know bearded gentleman and dinner was a takeaway burger. In our defence, the kitchen was out of commission from 8-8 as we tidied up and rebuilt!
Forgot to pay anything off the CC yesterday, so transferred £477.07 today. Also bought birthday presents for a nearby family birthday and a mother's day gift for my mum. She's a very difficult woman to shop for - spends her time travelling about between several different houses, isn't particularly acquisitive and doesn't have any hobbies that I know of! Got a nice hamper of luxury foods from one of the countries that she loves in the end.
