We are surviving the holidays pretty well so far
I got the bulk of our Christmas dinner shopping on Friday, we saw my parents that evening, Mrs E took the girls to the park yesterday, and I took them out for a swim this morning. Feeling quite chilled out and happy but should probably watch the casual drinking
One last day of work for me tomorrow, somewhat annoyingly my first day where I actually need to do something! - I found a random £25 cashback offer from Santander that I had forgotten about, sent to my personal spends
- £14.68 OPed
- A couple of £ paid to EF
- A few £ transferred from my personal spends to my cash savings. I'm now sitting at 85.5% equities/14.5% cash, which is half the way towards my desired cash %age. I should be able to pay perhaps another £100 to this by the end of the year, and may achieve it by February? Anyway, just a notional target and no real pressure as it's just a metric that I'd like to get to
- Won a free lucky dip on the Lotto for Christmas Eve

My last day of work before the holidays, finishing at 4

- £13.40 OPed
- A few £ to EF
- A few p from personal spends to cash savings
I have a bit of work to get cracking with today, but will try and find time to earn £6 on Prolific. That's a little over 1/2 hour assuming ok rates of pay, so seems realistic on lunch/quick coffee break.10 -

My boss called about 15:30 to tell me to down tools for the year
Mrs E mentioned that she had received an email saying that our rate switch had been cancelled about 5 minutes ago. I have logged in and signed us up for a new 5-year fix at 4.04%
£1,344.17 a month to £1020.61 from January! Nearly £4,000 a year, I can hardly believe it.Now, if I can only earn another 29p on Prolific, I will be made up for 2025
