Just caught up. I hate fleas, they're so hard to get rid of. I had to give the dog many flea baths when I had him.
When I was little we had a cat who was allergic to fleas but far more allergic to the treatments. Mum had to comb her everyday after she grew her fur back (reaction to the treatments) to prevent fleas.6 -
What is even better is that there are no fees to pay on things you sell on Vinted 😄7

The buyer pays the insurance fees and postage, so if you are asking £10 for an item you get £106

oooh, Debsnewbudget - I have just seen your profile pic, and realised that (unless they are dotted around the UK), we stood next to that during our summer hols in 2022. I just looked up the pics and I 'made' LG (my kiddo) stand in front of it to take a pic 🤣 IIRC it was made from waste materials - the wings were possibly fishing net....... ???
Thanks for prompting me to look back at some pics of precious memory-making 👍

Mega good news for MIL! I had believed that she would receive a death grant or similar of c. 10x FIL's pension minus pension already paid out (4 years or so). I'd estimated high ££,£££. I asked MIL not to hold it against me if I was wrong but that was the scheme as I understood it. Anyway, she got a random payment of £4,000 and I was absolutely gutted as I thought I'd made a mistake. She's just had another payment of £90,000In less good news, my phone fell in the toilet (was sitting next to it when I was plugging in all our toothbrushes to charge and the web of cables pushed it in)
4+ years old but I am so cross.

Oh that's fantastic news ed!! What a relief for your MIL (and for you, after that first payment!!)
Less good on the phone though. Have you tried sticking it in a tub of rice?! Or did it get, er, more than just wet...7 -
Errr, I think just wet, although no idea if that was good old fashioned water or the other one
I am looking at cheap replacements, it would appear we could get similar specs to our old one but 5G for less than we paid for the previous ones. Replacing them was on the agenda but not yet. It is in rice but nothing doing...
Bullet has been bitten. Ordered 2x new phones (I buy us phones at the same time as the batteries tend to kick the bucket at similar times, Mrs E also has a cracked screen and issues with phone performance). Replacements were £153 each, vs £199 4 years ago. That feels reasonable, even if it wasn't a purchase I wanted to make. £100 or so from virement and just shy of £190 from the EF. Yes, I know phone replacement isn't an emergency per se as they don't last forever but my entire financial life is run via phone and I am already panickingBought on credit card so it can wait until March to be paid off.

A phone ia a real emergency.
