Does anyone reading my drivel have a current account with the Co-operative bank? If so, do you fancy referring me?Please be aware that you would have to share some personal data so that I can complete the referral form (name, account details and email address). If you're not comfortable with this, don't worry, will be some random over on Reddit will take me up on the offer
I'd rather the money went to someone I "know" if possible.
I'm aware that offering referrals on MSE is forbidden but hopefully it's ok to request them? If not, feel free to report this post and I'm sure a Board Guide etc. will delete!5 -
I have a business account with the Co-op. Would that count?
If so PM me and I will give you the details you need.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!4 -

@Cheery_Daff - thanks - will get back to you if Watty's account not eligible to referNot a lot of finance news (I get paid on Tuesday). I have been budgeting away for Christmas as we prepare to host ourselves for the first time ever. I am loving all the wee supermarket offers that have been popping up. So far we have managed:
- Christmas pudding (bought on sale at the start of the year)
- 25% off Christmas wine + TCB cashback + bank cashback
- £10 off ham + bank cashback (for delivery in December)
- Christmas chocolates (2 for £7 from Morrison's + bank cashback)
- Christmas biscuits (£4 from Morrison's + bank cashback)
- Posh Greek olives (to stuff) and garlic mayo (Sainsbury's Nectar prices + Nectar points + bank cashback)
- My body weight in Pringles (£1.25 each in Morrison's + bank cashback)
Storage space is my only enemy, I love this sort of shopping almost as much as my laundry detergent mountainWe are being good and are physically putting stuff away so we're not tempted.
Edit: managed some really useful life admin, having a cheap printer is very helpful. Old driving licences sent back to DVLA, proof that I've left childcare voucher scheme sent to HMRC and birthday present re-sent to niece as I couldn't have it delivered directly to her7 - Christmas pudding (bought on sale at the start of the year)

Thanks Watty, I've applied to switch in October and I'm going to put Cheery down as my referrer.I am on leave until Tuesday and today and tomorrow are the rarest of things, "me" days! I have started my leave with suitably me stuff - breakfast this morning at a favourite cafe, followed by a trip to the Chinese supermarket, bakery and takeaway that specialises in Hong Kong style roast meat (drools profusely)... I've also ordered some clothes for the girls and paid for DD1's Highland dancing classes (proud Scottish dad)Finance wise, I did 2.5 hours of overtime last night (£64 before tax), I'm past £5 earnings for Prolific (but can't withdraw yet), scanned about £1 of receipts with ZipZero yesterday and paid £30 into my LISA today. The last one is important to me - I've basically stopped making additional payments to my SIPP and LISA at the moment because of rising costs but promised myself that "future me" would get some benefit from the overtime I'm doing beyond paying bills in the here and now. To achieve that, I'm paying 6% of my gross earnings from OT into the LISA. Seemed a fair compromise and 6% of the gross is probably no more than 10% of the difference in my take home pay.5

Small family member of mine also doing Highland Dancing lessons. They love it and whilst I was looking after them the other day was being instructed in heel to toe 😁. I did do HD lessons myself when wee but slipped on the hall floor one time, got a huge skelf in my leg [GP had to remove] and never went back. End of my dancing career 🤣6

Sounds like a great idea to put some of your OT to the future, and a set percentage is a good way of automating the decision.
Thanks for the referral, I'll get details over to you shortly 😊6
