£2.52 paid into my SIPP last night (£3.15 after tax relief).
Magic no hangover pills have not arrived yet and we're off to the beer festivalLet's hope they're here when we get back! Beer festival has a foodbank as their charity partner, planning on donating all of the loose change that has built up since we got here 6 weeks ago. Should be a win win situation - I don't need to carry cans of soup and corned beef and they get cash for buying what's most needed
Not much finance to report - Prolific is coming up to the £5 mark for a withdrawal and I've been doing a fair bit of virement from our artificially inflated "extension" pot.

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Sorry folks, was not being cryptic, just not advertising. The magic pills are sold by a company called Surviv0r L1fe L1mited. They work for me, but they only work if they bloody well arrive and you take them. Unfortunately they did not in this case, I used more than my fair share of the beer tokens as Mrs E only had two small glasses of prosecco and a couple of non-alcoholic beers and I ended up feeling very ill
I am definitely "off" the alcohol for a while, I feel I made a total fool of myself. Mrs E insists the optics weren't as bad as I believe and that I was a happy drunk, but I'm ashamed that I set a bad example for DD1
I have never considered myself to have a problem with alcohol, but I definitely have a problem with moderation!7 -
