Crazy day today!
DD1 to school, feed cats, breakfast at MoMo's, drive to archives for work (with cat), cat to groomers, visit parentals, collect cat from groomers, collect DD1 from school, DD1 to swimming, home for 5ish. Days off, eh?6 -
Just about done, feeling zonked. Surprisingly little done at home, apparently the plasterer walked off the job after less than a day! New guy starting tomorrow, wonder if the builder will ever tell us exactly what happened there 🤔7

I can't tell you what happened with yours but I can tell you that one builder near my old work was hired to relay the flooring for my car park. It's important to note that this was a tiny car park surrounded by a fence with static caravans on the other side. So he got into the digger thing (drunk), started operating it (drunk), drove straight the fence and half way through two caravans (you guessed it, drunk!)
Obviously not saying your plaster was the same way but thought you might enjoy the story. (I couldn't park in my space for months)8 -
@killerpeaty - very muchMy travels have ended for the day, time for one beer and an early bed as my exercise class starts again tomorrow morning at 8. Just as well, I am a potato of a man, an emotional eating lapsed exercise-y guy
This is not negative self-image, I genuinely think I'm a potato now... or maybe a Pr1ngle!
£2.52 paid into my SIPP (£3.15 after tax relief) - sin tax for buying a lottery ticket.6 -

@edinburgher I am so impressed with how much you get done with a newborn and a little one. I used to think the day was good if we all got to the end, had eaten and I’d managed to put a single load of washing on!2025 decluttering: 2,387🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅

@QueenJess - behind every productive man is a very productive/tolerant woman
Merlin's_Beard - I was soaked to the skin! It rained so hard that I genuinely had a small puddle in both my pants and my left trainer
Today has been a cold and frustrating morning of trying to track down our tabby cat who has gone wandering because she's bored with us out of the house and she hates the builders. I have already been out in the car twice this morning and am at the end of my tether. I love her, but she's a PITA
I have completed a small survey on Prolific this morning and I'm going to make whip cracking noises in the general direction of my budget spreadsheet. We're going out to a wee person's birthday party this afternoon - thankfully it's just a few families of friends in a house - the screaming won't be too bad.
*Edit: I found £400 (apparently I still had a SO going into a S@ntander RS when I thought the accounts were all closed). I've deleted the SO, recovered the money and may book us a few nights away in October with the "free" money.

Hope you find the cat - I am looking after a family's pets (for no charge) - all 16 of them including horses and the new rescue dog is way too much trouble. Bites (me) , fights the other dogs, escapes out of all fields and I get he is sweet but argh..
I am in the very large garden and I can hear his barking - maybe get my ipod pros in!DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
