I dread to think - but how do they accidentally drill through the ceilings of all your first floor rooms? Challenged by tape measure? It makes me realise just why I am reluctant to get some jobs done that after over 30 years here really need doing.4

@badmemory - I think it's the deadly combination of needing to double up existing floor joists with 8" long bolts and having to use industrial-sized drills to do so3

Irritating re builders.
I think a lot of what gets touted on sites is bunk - but networking helps and improving your profile on linked etc Definitely look at your transferable skills rather than just describing what you did job by job. Mrs E has had 2x £25 PB wins - she is obviously hogging all the luck
That's not a terrible monthly return on £10,000 between us, above average luck I believe.
£25.39 OPed and paid into ISA (scrounged up a few pennies of cashback from TCB).4 -

We're doing well bar the stress of having a newborn and getting the attic done
How are you?
Vanguard absolutely allow you to pay in small amounts, I've added £1 to my SIPP many times. They can be a bit funny about switching single digit amounts between funds (although this won't affect most people). They do pensions now and I believe drawdown as well. HL are charging you an extra 0.3% a year for the privilege - better off in your pocket. Or put more forcefully - their platform charge is treble Vanguard's!5 -
Sorry to hear about the builders - that's frustrating. Better news re: the PB win though. None for me this month sadly. It's funny you saying that Prolific is quiet for you as I've been having a mini run of surveys last week or so, and it's been better than for a while. Swings and roundabouts I guess3

@Merlin's_Beard - it's probably my own fault for working in the public sector 🤔5

Good to have the DB pension though.
