Day 2 return test-Do you have to await result?

So when I return from Cyprus from upcoming holiday I take a test with 48 hours of return to UK. Do I have to stay at home pending receipt of result or can I just go on with my life as normal?

If depends on whether you are fully vaccinated.
If you are fully vaccinated you do not need to stay at home.
You only need to quarantine at home if you are not fully vaccinated and in that case you have to stay home for 10 days and take a test on Day 2 & 8.0
