I have just received a letter from our solicitor to say that the inheritance tax on our case had been paid and the receipt had been issued. Does anyone know how long the letters of administration should take to come through?

Have HMCTS acknowledged by email their receipt of your application?
Ours took about 6 weeks from HMCTS acknowledgement.
That was in July to August. What we know is far, far less than what we don't know0 -
We received a letter from our solicitor saying that the inheritance tax had been paid and everything completed and that the letters of admin could be applied for. I’m presuming that our solicitor would have received the email or a letter regarding the payment.0

When was your application submitted to HMCTS?
6 weeks has been typical for reasonably straightforward wills.
May be longer if relatively complex involving a business or an overseas property eg.What we know is far, far less than what we don't know0
