To OP (and others) - how long do you spend in your chair?
My question isn't about this chair breaking - no chair should break in such a time frame even if you're in it 12 hours per day. Try an LBA to the agent.
But since working from home, millions of us are in "occasional" office chairs that really aren't any good for our spine or posture. You probably need to spend £300 if you're in a chair all day but here's an example comparison

No chair should fall apart within 4 months if it hasn’t been abused so by definition, it is faulty and was faulty when purchased. It’s not even close to a fraudulent claim but of course, this is no guarantee that it would be successful. In my view, the OP has nothing to lose by opening a PayPal claim.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0
