Leasing advice
Looking to get a car on lease and seen options that suit me on Santander 1-2-3 Consumer Finance and on Vanarama.
Unfortunately, reviews (at least on Facebook) for Vanarama are terrible. I want to find a decent lease company I can trust.
Any advice on this please? Do you have a lease company you'd recommend? Thanks.

I have only leased a vehicle once and, at that time, the company linked by @sheslookinhot gave me the best deal I could find after which I called Toyota who bettered it slightly (so I can't directly comment on the performance of Nationwide except the sales effort was positive so far as I went). That was 2014.
Since then, I have seen several threads where Lings Cars are commented on as offering competitive prices. They have a crazy website, but I cannot comment any further on the customer experience having never been their customer.
There were some threads around July time showing fantastic lease deals on Skoda cars, but the same deals seem to have expired now, so I won't link the threads. However, there was a comment giving a "rule of thumb" on assessing a good lease deal from a value perspective:Flight3287462 said:That meets my criteria of a great deal, all in monthly payments aggregated across the term less than 100th of the cost to buy.
That last part does seem to be the "crux" of it with leasing - pick the deal that gives you a car to meet your needs (including wants) but don't be constrained on make / model.Flight3287462 said:You need something that gives you a quick method of deciding whether it is worth exploring further.
That is why you go for the deal not the car when leasing, if you think you are going to get a good deal on brand new model you'll be sorely disappointed but you might get a cracker on the previous model and you don't have to worry about FV which will have taken a hit.
At the end of the day don't be fussy what you drive (lease) and//or just do the numbers.
I assume you were referencing true "lease" with your opening question and not finance / PCP options as that would change the responses slightly.1 -

Lings for sure
Had two cars from them (Kia and Land rover) and service is excellent.
They will price-match nationwide (or they have for me anyway).0 -
Ling Valentine appeared on Dragons Den a few years ago, she's quite a character.
I'm sure some are put off by the acid inspired website, but it is legit.
I leased a Citroen C5 estate off her back when the second gen was only just launched and the deal was almost cheaper than walking.
I think they push certain models from time to time depending on what manufacturers want to shift, so it's always worth looking at all the alternatives.0 -
Ling herself retired a few months back and 'gave' the business to her employees.0
