The new wife can't claim part of your house unless she divorces him, but your ex can.

How much your ex can claim will depend on how much deposit you put down and how much he put down.

It would be very wise to buy your ex out of any rights he has to your house. You need to negotiate with him. Now is a good time to do it as he will be "loved up" due to his plans to marry.

What was you plan to pay off the Interest-only mortgage? He might have some rights to any investment that was purchased for this, if he made any contributions.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

Were you married to your ex? If you were, this should have been sorted out in the divorce. If not, as tacpot says, negotiate now and get a signed agreement!

  • Is there any equity in the property? Can you afford to move? These are important questions that you need to decide an answer to, not for this forum but for yourself.

To answer the question, the new wife is not a party to anything relevant to your house. She can claim nothing. There are financial matters to resolve with your ex.
