Parking Fine from UK CPM. Do i have a legal case that i can win?

Hi, I received a parking fine from UK CPM and unsure if i was in the wrong and i should pay.
I was visiting my friend after the COVID lockdown and i have parked in the private visitors parking bay with a visitor permit that she gave me. She is renting the house and had been given a visitors parking permit. So we dont know what is the agreement on the lease.
After 2 days, i received a PCM letter saying that i did not display a valid permit. So i checked with my friend. She said that it is a mistake and asked me to wait as she will discuss with the building mangement. The building management says that they have no part it this as the car park is wholly management by UK CPM.
After some digging, we found out that the visitors permit was issued in APR 2019 and the permit does not have a expiry date but is RED in colour. UK CPM has however decided to issue a BLUE colour permit in NOV 2019 and they claim to have sent a letter. However my friend says that she did not receive any letters and she did not have to use the visitors permit during COVID lockdown. hence she was not aware of the expiry. For her personal car, she had a permit issued in AUG 2019 which is BLUE in colour.
We tried the IAS appeal thinking we have strong case but they have rejected the appeal.
I am now left with paying £100 parking fine or waiting to be taken to court.
Can you please let me know if i should pay or wait for court proceedings?
Thanks

Of course you would win this in court! Can you please let me know if i should pay or wait for court proceedings?Neither.
Try an appeal to the ex clamper chancers, and then an IAS appeal just for the laughs and because it looks better later in court.
Tell UKCPM in the first appeal that you will go all the way to court and that there was no expiry date on the visitor's permit and was the only one issued to the resident, so it was valid.
Then same to IAS, with a picture of the permit. They are not independent, it is a kangaroo court that upheld only FOUR PER CENT of motorists' appeals last year so no hilding your breath or thinking they are a proper appeals service, because they are worse than useless for consumers. But still go through it anyway, without any worry.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The OP has already been through the IAS farce. We tried the IAS appeal thinking we have strong case but they have rejected the appeal. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Ah ok then they ignore the ex clamper chancers unless a LBC or court claim arrives.
UKCPM are a scourge and considered by locals to be a pariah in university halls car parks and housing association estates and other residential car parks, where they appear to target residents.
IMHO these ex clampers are an embarrassment to East/West Sussex and are one of those rogue firms that are unlikely to last long term if they can’t get their act together after the new Government framework and Code of Practice starts in 2022.PRIVATE 'PCN'?
