Euro Parks Fine - is it lawful?

Hi, we had the absolute misfortune of getting lost in Birmingham and taking a sat nav wrong turn. To prevent us going through any bus gates we pulled into a small pub carpark so I could reboot my sat nav. I was stationary with the engine running whilst putting the postcode back in for the destination. We were there 2mins and 25seconds. We received the £100 fine through the post today. I explained the circumstances that I wasn’t actually parked and the reason to why we had entered the car park but they state they are upholding the fine. Usual bully boy tactics saying you can’t appeal that decision and if you do the fine goes up to a £100. Utter disgrace of a company - any help or advice welcome

Tell us again who the parking company is.
Is it Euro Car Parks Ltd,
or is it Euro Parking Service Limited,
or is it something else?2 -
Go through the IAS even though it's a kangaroo court, as long as you are within 21 days of the rejection.
No template, just put in your evidence that there was insufficient time and a lack of prominent signs to have agreed to a contract and this is not a 'no stopping' zone, so sufficient time must be allowed to consider the terms and leave. The IAS is not independent an upheld just 4% of appeals last year so no holding your breath and no thinking that the discount is worth rushing to pay, to make it go away. IT IS NOT. THESE FIRMS ARE NOT TO BE PAID, ALL THE TIME THAT THE PARKING INDUSTRY IS UNREGULTED (BEING ADDRESSED IN 2022).
Then ignore the ex clamper chancers, unless they try a court claim. Honestly this is clearly a scam. Also complain to the pub (or pub chain manager) about what they are doing to potential customers who will absolutely never visit now and which affects custom becuase you are going to post about this on social media and their Trustpilot page.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It’s Euro Parking Services Keith.1

Do you have an address of this carpark or can you remember the pub name/ location? As I appreciate it's not local so try and check Google Street View for current (and historic) images of the locations entrance signage or lack of it. Plus somebody local to it might be able to grab live photo of carpark if near to them...
Very bullying tactics. Are they BPA or IPC company?3 -
It was the Shoulder of Mutton 66 Birmingham Road, B65 9BA -IPC member.2

I’ve just looked on street maps and there is a patrons only carpark sign but it is clearly before Euro Parking Services took over. To be honest for the time we were there we didn’t look at any signage. It was a quick reboot of the sat nav and re enter the post code. As I say 2mins 25seconds0

Typical IPC member scam by EPS , download the IPC CoP and read it , especially clause 13 , grace periods
Don't expect any quick fix other than a landowner cancellation , if possible
Any invoice is lawful , even this PCN , but is it enforceable in law ? Is the real question , only a judge can decide for sure , in civil court1 -
OK nothing has changed my advice, You certainly DO NOT say "To be honest for the time we were there we didn’t look at any signage."PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
