Morning all, it's mizzling today, it was supposed to be sunny spells and thunder storms ! Another sleepless person here, think it may be the antib's that are affecting me, don't think I've ever had these 2 different ones to take together before 🤔We had a lovely lunch out yesterday at the second eatery, the first had a staff shortage and the staff that were there ( not the normal girls ) couldn't be bothered to stop talking to even serve a cup of coffee ! The chocolate cake I bought was lovely too but as usual I covered it with cream and today my tummy is not a happy bunny, probably too much rich food 🤢We are umming and ahhing as to whether we go to town this morning, it's only to put some money in the bank, and then call in at an o.o.town electrical store to look at the mobile phones, unfortunately the one Mr Fix It thought he might like is now OOS. We'll have another coffee and ruminate 😁Take care all, hugs to those who are in neednan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11

Hi everyone,
Just a quick one from me as I have a hairdressers appointment this morning, she's changed the day/time 3 times so far. Mind you I'm quite glad as it gave us the extra day in Yorkshire with L,B and E. We got home just before Midnight and then crazily decided to stay up to watch the tennis, it was worth it though, she played so well. I can't help but think of Mum who was a huge women's tennis fan, she used to watch obscure tournaments from all round the world, she would have been thrilled. Anyway it was 5am before I got to bed.
I had a very strange experience at the optician, when I got there the receptionist told me I was booked for a telephone appointment. I said that someone had rung the previous day asking me to wear my lenses and bring my glasses and got it sorted but how on earth do you have an opticians appointment over the phone.
Anyway, have a good day all, I'll be stocking the fridge and sorting things here.10 -
Morning all, dull & wet but not raining atm- my T delivery is due before10 so hope the rain holds off till then. TA I'm guilty of ordering the same stuff too. , and he's here so bye for now ....Apparently one of the local morries had water cascading through their roof last night, and DGS footie training was abandoned after about 5 mins. Picking up DGD from school today.DH is at home today, supply problems etc plus he's waiting for his elderly client to go away on Monday so he can do some of the messier bits as she is complaining about the dust, but it's a bit tricky building an extension and knocking through without creating dust! Not sure what to eat tonight but I'm sure the delivery will help me with that ,Have a good day all x

Morning all. Early booked tip run and straight on to food shopping. Not sure if it’s going to rain here or not, could do with a drop for the poor gardens.
gardening on the agenda for me today
Stay safe and well all

Morning all...Both briskets cooked and waiting to be reheated for shredding and sauce reduction. I say it myself, but they're lovely. Once they're shredded and put back, I'll be parcelling up for the freezer. I have a couple of friends coming to the [not so] goth box [sun has bleached the fabric to a dark grey now] tonight for nibbles and catch up. I haven't seen them for six or so weeks what with being in Wales, one's household caught covid and the other had poorly children. The menu for the nibbles involves tarting up the Mexican one and a lot fo cheese in various forms. I'll make a bread stuffed with brie and caramelised onion stuff, french cheese puffs, those biscuits I said about and a roasted red pepper [ leftovers in jar] and tomato [from greenhouse] dip. And maybe something with goats cheese. Think I've gone a bit crazy there but I'm enjoying cooking again so I'd better make the most of it while it lasts. I need to do freezer and cupboard inventories too because I went shopping yesterday and they're all full again.Meeting with a different set of friends for lunch out and then back to cook. Days seem to pass so quickly these days, I feel like I've barely got up before it's time to go to bed. And I don't seem to be accomplishing anything on the way. I'd better fill in the excercise with with 'Must try harder' a hundred times and see what happens...Scarlet, no, I haven't decoupaged anything but I have covered stuff with material. I did my old flat door before because it was inside and therefore protected. Might see what's in the fabric box Sunday or something..Happy baking! Gers, I bought a plug to use with Alexa [ it was on offer at 25% of the price] and I love it. I close the curtains then tell it to switch on the light. I kind of did say to myself I wasn't going to go down that route but it's so very handy....I like the idea of a motorised track...Izzy, blimey, it's all go for you! Snoozer, I don't know how they can do that either. I know it's minimising contact and probably trying to keep the incidence of real customers down but still, it's very weird. Welcome to the post-Pandemic world [ although not quite post yet ....] nanny, happy belated birthday to Mr Fixit, here's hoping he finds a phone.... I am away now to wrestle the kitchen into obedience, have a good day if you can or even a great one and if you can't, soothing soup mugs and blankies...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi10

My lights are already controlled that way, it was so good when I was away to them turn on / off from Glasgow. I had to warn the closest neighbours about it as they knew the house was empty!I was talking to my SIS in Queensland this morning, she's having motorised fly screens installed in her new tiny house, I could usefully use them for my front and back doors. Being on farmland the flies here are a plague.Snoozer - that's an odd one for sure.
Right, off to country store now.

Good morning all (just)😁
In fairness I have been busy, I've cleaned the kitchen and bathroom, hoovered through and made a cake.
I've also been busy scrunching up nine years of rotas to take up to my Mother's as she's going to have a bonfire, it was very cathartic 😁
It's raining here so no plans to go out anywhere.
Have as good a day as you can x9 -
Afternoon all,
Goodness, where has the morning got to? Been busy thus far with looking after the parents. While unloading dad’s shopping had an urgent SOS from MIL which turned out wasn’t an emergency (thankfully, more panic really), then a chat with Mum’s rehab team. Dad in denial, about mum’s capabilities or more lack of, which makes things more difficult. Feeling rather overwhelmed by it all, but will make myself cope.Off to have a sugary coffee and chocolate and a read of my book.
OS for today, having LO dinner for my lunch, and using the airing cupboard to dry clothes rather than tumble dryer.
Take care all.

Wicked_Lady - my Dentist put a gazebo and seat outside for waiting patients.
Got some chilli bratwurst out of the freezer for tonight's dinner.
Will try and do some baking when the oven is on.
