Hi
I recently decided to purchase a watch online. The retailer (Beaverbrooks) offer 0% finance over 2 years with Hitachi finance,
I made the purchase online and went through the finance application, the application was successful however I was unable to sign the finance agreement digitally (kept getting error message on form submission) , after speaking with Hitachi they said this was due to my surname having an apostrophe. As a result of this a paper copy of the agreement was dispatched to me which I signed and returned. My error but on the signed form I put the wrong month so this was not acceptable, after speaking with Hitachi they said I could download the agreement then print, sign and upload to their site this was completed yesterday.
Due to the time taken with this Beaverbrooks cancelled the order and informed Hitachi to cancel the agreement.
To clarify I have not received the watch or made any payments
My concern is could this negatively impact my credit score?
Thanks
Pete

You may have picked up a hard search but a single hard search should not cause you issues. If the agreement was never concluded it should not be reported to CRAs.0

Your credit score doesn't matter. It's only seen by you and the relevant credit rating agencies. Lenders don't see it, they only see the data on your credit report. They use this data to do their own internal scoring - you don't get to see this score
The odd hard search here and there isn't an issue. Too many at once looks like you're struggling for money and desperately need credit.0
