Chances of asbestos in a house built in 1900?

    This was many years ago, we had no idea of the dangers of asbestos there is nothing I can do about it now, at least today there is awareness courses and many companies make it mandatory to have it, so you would like to think workers will stop, think and report.
     As for affecting testicles I have noticed that one of mine is bigger than the other two!

    Yes, I wasn't criticising anyone here, it was people coming into the industry now who have access to information and training that we didn't have that I was thinking of.  There's no reason for anybody today to be taking risks.

    And... only 3, not 4?

    Didn’t take it as criticism, there is still plenty of companies who put profit over safety regardless of the fines or charges of corporate manslaughter!
    As for the original post I used to restore churches and we would have an asbestos survey done on first inspection, it was mostly found in electrics but can even be found on the pads fitted to stainless steel sinks.

    As an aside, I used to go to lectures on the history of medicine and at one time there was a brand of cigarettes that had asbestos filters!

    I was fifty before I learned that silica dust was second only to asbestos!
