Chances of asbestos in a house built in 1900?

Yes, I wasn't criticising anyone here, it was people coming into the industry now who have access to information and training that we didn't have that I was thinking of. There's no reason for anybody today to be taking risks.
And... only 3, not 4?

As for the original post I used to restore churches and we would have an asbestos survey done on first inspection, it was mostly found in electrics but can even be found on the pads fitted to stainless steel sinks.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me 'Sir' without adding, 'You're making a scene.'0 -
As an aside, I used to go to lectures on the history of medicine and at one time there was a brand of cigarettes that had asbestos filters!1
