Hi All,
I am about to sell one house after the other to buy something bigger. I need to keep the money from the first house in an account. Roughly for 6 months or so.
I think I’m going to go with NS&I but I need advice on what sort of account to go for please. I don’t want to gamble with any of it and want to ensure it’s protected.

I know you say you don't want to gamble but Premium Bonds are often mentioned as a good home for house sale proceeds whilst waiting for the next purchase.
Your capital is guaranteed with a chance of winning something (tax free) every month. The average "return" is about 1% at the moment.
The maximum holding is £50k though so you may need an alternative account as well.0 -
All NS&I accounts meet those criteria.0
