Thanks @Doozergirl
when you put it like that it does seem very reasonable. I’ll be honest and say I forgot about the VAT element which more or less puts me at 6.5k
I don’t mind paying a bit of a premium for peace of mind and also having it all done in house

I'd be tempted to ask the builder how much it would cost if you bought rigid units then price up from say DIYkitchens as someone has already suggested or even Howdens.Sorry I can't think of anything profound, clever or witty to write here.2

That’s a good idea. I did go to Wren to see the cost difference of flat pack vs built. Wren were coming in at 7.2k which I thought was madness for a J pull kitchen (pre built) vs the handless shaker kitchen I am getting from BQNSG666 said:I'd be tempted to ask the builder how much it would cost if you bought rigid units then price up from say DIYkitchens as someone has already suggested or even Howdens.
still a good idea if I can get the same kitchen and inserts from a cheaper place0 -
Forget Wren, as a benchmark I suppose they are just about acceptable but do not do business with them unless you like hassle.aylithuk said:

I got nice Shaker T-bar handles from B&Q and they look the business - think they are now on clearance so take a look: https://www.diy.com/departments/brushed-steel-bar-cabinet-handle-l-229mm/1443001_BQ.prdNo man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.0 -
We just fitted a Wren kitchen. First time.Beautiful plans like blueprints with annotated notes from the designer, nothing missing and our carpenter really enjoyed fitting it!😬Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
