Glass Recycling bins

Hello all,
Not sure if this is the right place but i have a issue with Glass Recycling bins opposite my house. I live on a small estate and the local small store has five full sizes bins, more that my local tesco!. The constant noise of people dropping of bottles 24 x 7 and the daily 07:30 am picks up is driving me nuts. I suspect most of the use is commercial but cannot prove. The council says it is their land and they cannot enforce usage so tough luck. Is there any policy or act that will help me get these moved to a more suitable location as my compliant to council has not been addressed? Thank you.

I would've though the council would be the right people to deal with a noise nuisance.
Have you tried speaking to the people at the store to see if they are willing to do anything?Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -
Yes. Contact your Council environmental health department and complain about a statutory noise nuisance. They will ask you to keep a diary for a few weeks and will then investigate if they think from your diary records it poses a statutory nuisance under Environmental Protection Act.0

When we were on holiday earlier this year, staying in a holiday let, there was information about a bottle bank beside a shop at the bottom of the road. When I went down, there was no bottle bank. I checked with the property owner who apologised for the wrong info but it had recently been moved because of noise complaints. It can be done, but if you can get your neighbours to support you the complaint may carry more weight.
