Two court case this month - Countrywide Parking/BW Legal

Hang on have I understood this correctly? BW Lrgal, acting for Countrywide, have invoiced you for £725 in the small claims court? Has the judge ordered you to pay that amount? If not, consider a complaint to the SRA or Ombudsman.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1 -
No, they haven't ''invoiced'' the Defendant, they have filed and served a Costs Schedule, containing costs which could only possibly be awarded if the Claimant wins, and the Judge agrees that the Defendant has behaved unreasonably.D_P_Dance said:Hang on have I understood this correctly? This is a standard BW Legal tactic, designed to intimidate Defendants into abandoning their defence, and settling the claim out of court,
I am unaware of any Judge awarding this kind of sum, it is basically kite-flying.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.4 -

Thank you David. Is this a conduct of which the SRA approve? You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Thank you @bargepole for clarifying that, I had the same view and after speaking to a few people, sounds like it's the last bluff by BW. I have dealt with a few different Claimant and their solicitors but found BW were the most in sending letters, the threats, the offers and chaces. They go above and beyond and those things make it more fun when you win.

Horrific reviews! also can see a lot of victims posting there which only goes to show their business model and how they pray on people!D_P_Dance said:2 -
Hi Guys,
Another one bites the dust!!!!!!
I had a wonderful time sitting in the second hearing today. Just like my first-ever appearance, I sat there and heard the judge grill the poor rep due to bad page numbering, messy documents, and not being able to refer to correct pages. I also made the rep go through all their claims, set the way for them to claim keeper liability, only then to bring the NTK dates issues out! As the judge immediately said 'The Knockout Blow' and dismissed the case and ordered the costs.
Special thanks to all of you for equipping me with the ammunition, specially @KeithP for pointing out the dates!
I am going to try and stick around but also will continue to help friends and family.
