Rejecting a used car
Comments

Just WRITE to the dealer today informing them that the car you purchased was faulty, they have failed to fix the fault, so you are now rejecting the car for a full refund as it is not fit for purpose.
(sending an email is fine, but make sure you have put your request in writing).Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
This is scarily similar to an incident with a Ford Focus and Arnold Clark...
Same scenario, out of 45 days ownership we had the car in our possession for about 7 days. They were adamant it was going to be fixed yet every time it was returned to us the dash lit up like a Christmas tree and back it went. I recall the manager stating 'We have never accepted a car rejection'.
After another failed promise of its return we went to the dealership with a letter of rejection and the keys on a saturday morning. Place was quite busy as well
They accepted their first rejection, though I had a further month long fight for the refund of the warranty.
I agree wholly with @pinkshoes and I dont think anyone would disagree that with a record like that you're absolutely in the right for a rejection.
Is the dealer a small one man show or a national place?0 -
Hi. Thanks for the support and advice .
The car came from a small independent dealer.
We have now issued a rejection letter to the dealer and awaiting his response.
