Bay window advice

We have recently had some new windows fitted and have a up and down bay window. Upstairs on the outside has been fitted with UPVC windows and a UPVC window sill however the window sill has been fitted in 3 pieces rather than one! Between the left hand side sill it wasn’t fitted together properly and all the window company has done is put a strip to over the gap!

I’ve heard that as it isn’t a huge bay window the sill should be welded together and fitted as one piece. It’s been suggested that the window needs coming out and redoing as the sill will not last that long like that.

Has anyone else had a bay window sill put in as 3 pieces or just one?

Any advice or input would be much appreciated

having nothing but trouble with the window company and it’s just fault after fault 😩

  • Pic would help . Bigger pic of the front of house would help too . bays should be welded cills unless they have pillars separating the windows such as brick or stone

My square bay, roughly 2.5m x 600mm, had a single welded sill. The fitter drilled holes through for the corner supports, and made sure the area was fully sealed afterwards.
