CP Plus - worst case scenario

I appealed my CP Plus parking ticket (retail car park) for overstaying by 30 minutes.
When I received the ticket I told CP Plus - politely - to accept a goodwill payment of £10.
They declined and the case has now gone to Popla.
I'm probably now going to lose as I didn't check the forum in advance and present an adequate defence.
However I would like my day in court just in case the judge finds in my favour.
If I lose, what might my costs be, and could it have a negative impact on my credit?
Thanks

You are jumping too far ahead.
The third post of the NEWBIES thread explains exactly how to create a winning PoPLA appeal.
There even several examples linked from there.3 -
Keith, sorry I wasn't clear, I was naive - I have already submitted my Popla appeal, which I now realise will prove inadequate.
Therefore I was wondering about an eventual court case.0 -
If you lose in court the judgment will be around £200 , payable within 30 days to avoid a CCJ3

CP Plus don’t use the POFA so the keeper had 100% win awaiting their appeal. But did you admit to driving and ruin that slam dunk win?
At least you will have now read the NEWBIES thread and must presumably be on the case with plan A.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes, I'm afraid I admitted to being the driver.1

Will do - I might have visited Halfords on that day. I see their management are sympathetic to this problem.
Thanks again for the advice.1 -
Email sent and physical letter written.2

Guys, I lost my appeal - Halfords did not get involved. Is it the courts next or will it be the debt collection people?

Probably impotent debt collectors first , no worries
After that , could be a court claim , within 6 years1
