My medical records include a recent PDF that I have downloaded but on opening, is BLANK - the file is over 200KB in size so contains data - but I am unable to view it - it is NOT "locked"
Any suggestions ?

Couple of suggestions….
- Try a different PDF viewer
- repeat the download. Maybe the PDF was only partially downloaded in first place and is malformed.2 -

I have now tried to open the PDF using an on-line solution - that claims to be able to open ANY PDF and it fails - so I am guessing that the file is corrupt - I will contact the surgery

Maybe it's not a pdf or the headers are corrupt. Try opening in NotePad to see if any content. If so then search for online repair PDF solutions.0

By unreadable presume you mean there is content but it's gibberish. So problem may be corrupt pdf headers - try search as suggested.Deleted_User said:

Could it contain interactive Flash content? Few if any pdf viewer apps will show that these days and the pdf will appear blank.

If OP still struggling with this, there maybe something intelligible among the Notepad gibberish. Try searching for surname, address, dob etc.1
