Rules for final bill after moving house

I know what the Ofgem rules are for switching and the final bill release (6 weeks) and any refund paid in another10 working days, before compensation can kick in. But are there Ofgem timescales for when people move house (as I recently did)?
BTW Avro were informed of my closing reads etc on the day I moved out and a twitter exchange last week confirmed that the email is with their cot (change of tenency) team but that there is a 10-15 day period before I should expect to hear from said team.

There are no rules as such relating to the ending of a contract on a house move. Presumably, the supplier is waiting for the new occupier to apprise them of the fact that he/she is now responsible for the property, and from what date. They will also need a meter reading to confirm that you haven’t knocked a few 00s off to save a few £s. Sadly, it happens.[Deleted User] said:I know what the Ofgem rules are for switching and the final bill release (6 weeks) and any refund paid in another10 working days, before compensation can kick in. Thanks for that - I will post back in this thread to let folk know if Avro's change of tenancy billing process is as poor as their switch billing process.
